Chemistry and the Messiah

Life moves on. Sometimes getting better..... Sometimes getting worse. It's the nature of things. Sel and I had an interesting conversation yesterday about what would have happened if the bible had never been written. (which stemmed from a discussion on baby Bush which broke off on a tangent to the new fetus abortion issue which led to bible thumpers which led us to.... well here.) I asked what would have happened if the founding fathers of America had been satanists or blood worshipers or something just really really bad. Sel's reply.... "We'd probably be better off than we are with Bush!" LOL. too damn funny. And that got us to talking. We pretty much agreed that if the bible hadn't been written something else would have taken it's place. Not necessarily bad or good. But definitely something.

Moving along those lines, I am of the opinion that the world must have a balance of both good and evil to survive and that if you overbalance one, the other will find a way to surge forward. My example: Too many bible beating idiots telling us what we can and can't do to our bodies. They try to make everything "good" as they see it. What get's created? Charles Manson. Adolph Hitler.

Creation -> <- Destruction.

It has to happen. Good -> <- Bad. You have to balance it. It's basic science if you look at it the right way. In 8th grade chemistry you learned that there are atoms. And for each proton.... there is an electron... (generally speaking. let's not get into isotopes and what not.) two protons = two electrons. You throw this ratio off and what do you get? Ions! Something that is negatively charged will draw something that's positively charged and vice versa. So, my example is: George W is a - ion and the Messiah is a + ion. Opposites attract. You see? Anyhoo, just my theory. What do you think? Did I make sense at all?

This weekend is my baby sisters wedding and I have to tell you, the closer I get to it, the more I don't want to go. My parents are making me wear this stupid outfit that I totally don't belong in. It's like putting a pig in knickers. Totally asinine and totally pointless and I TOTALLY DON'T WANT TO DO IT. *sigh* The things we do for the ones we "love." The only thing I have to say is that this is the last time I change my entire person to fit the expectations and demands of another. I haven't done it for years and if it wasn't for this silly feeling I have of owing my sister something really big, I wouldn't be doing it at all. I'm just Jess. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Ok. So, Sunday night I go to the Vortex thinking I'm only going to volunteer and then I'm going home. I get there and get started behind the bar in the cafe. They're setting up video equipment to record Dark Goddess and there's an energy in the air that's just captivating. I was tired walking in but by the time the first 20 patrons had walked in I was so pumped full of juiciness that I knew I was going to have to stay. Soooooo, the children and I stayed for the show. Here's how encapsulating it was. This was the eighth time for my daughter to see the show. Being three, she stopped sitting still during oh... number four or five and we usually had to leave for a bit during the middle to prevent her from ruining the show for others. (Even I could tell that the actors were getting tired after a 5 week run and the energy seemed a little depleted.) My daughter sat still the ENTIRE show and we didn't have to leave. (Thank God.... The director of the show was sitting right next to us!) Instead, she sang and waved her arms and clapped and laughed in all the right places. Myself.... well let's just say that my face hurt for two days from smiling so big. Perfect. Dead on. Truly the best one I've seen yet (out of 14 or 15 total I've lost count. Isn't that pathetic?) I couldn't have been more inspired or more awed.

After, I stood behind the bar and watched as the actors critiqued themselves. The only thing I have to say about that is..... You guys need to lay off yourselves. Don't sell yourself short. Awesome is the only word I can think of to describe your performance. That or beguiling.... ;)

ANYHOO, went to Dallas yesterday with Sel and friend Rick. Got inspired by a way to maybe speed some things along in our lives. Things like where we're going and how we're going to get there. Should prove to be interesting. Will talk more about the trip later. Just wish us luck for now.

If you'd like to read it go here.

Blanked out cause I changed my mind

***I've actually decided to use this thing. It's kinda cool.
